FAQs for photography

  • I love airports, flights and road-trips. Whether we are shooting up at the North Shore in Minnesota or I’m meeting you on a coast, I’m happy to discuss whatever travel plans you might have!

  • Because it’s always so hard to wait for you photos, I promise to deliver a sneak peek within 48 hours. It’s common for me to post a few sneak peeks on my Instagram so look there, otherwise, I can always text a few over to you directly!

All portrait galleries are delivered within 2-3 weeks from your session date.

Because wedding galleries are quite larger than most packages, I usually ask that you give me 6-8 weeks to edit and deliver your full gallery.

  • I’m located just outside of Hudson, WI but I am always happy to travel. Whether it’s into the Twin Cities, up to the North Shore, or a plane ride away.

  • I have experience with headshots, individual portraits, family portraits, engagement sessions, birth and newborn shoots, branding photography, and event portraits and real-estate photography. Please feel free to contact me directly if you want to know if I would be a good fit for your project!

  • No, I do not. I eliminate duplicate images, test shots, missed focused shots, shots with bad expressions and other images that may affect the overall gallery delivery. I take great pride in being able to deliver beautiful images that tell your story. Some sessions end up with thousands of digital images, I don’t expect you to want to zoom in on every image taken to determine if it the best quality, that’s why I spend hours doing that for you.

  • Safety first! If there is inclement weather (lightening, severe storms, poor driving conditions, evacuations, etc.) we will reschedule your session. If just a little rain or snow and you want to ride it out, I’m happy to get adventurous too and shoot through it. Totally depends on what you’re game for!

  • I never want money to get in the way of having your big days captured. If you are set on having me be part of your special day, please always reach out and inquire about flexible pricing or payment plans. I am always willing to explore how I may be able to accommodate your budget.

  • Take a peek at my blog post here! I’ll give you some tips for styling the whole fam.

  • At this time, no. I am no longer taking on traditional wedding clients. However, if you are interested in booking an elopement, I’m happy to chat!

  • I have several precautions that I take to ensure that your images are protected from the moment before we even begin shooting all the way to after your gallery is delivered. First, I shoot on a dual-slot camera which means that I automatically write your files to two separate cards. Then, once we complete our session I go back to my office, upload your cards and I always ensure that we have a minimum of 3 backups of your images. I don’t delete anything from the cards or my external hard drive until your gallery is delivered and even then, I keep your RAW files on my hard drive for one year minimum.

  • I require a signed contract and a paid deposit to secure your date!

FAQs for
website and social

  • I approach every website individually and customize a plan around what you need. Generally, however, most websites start at $2000.

  • If you have all the copy for your website, prepped then it makes the design and building of your site that much faster. If you need branding services for your site, this will add time. Your website can take anywhere from 2 weeks to 8 weeks depending on what your starting point is.

  • Branding is everything that goes into the identity of your brand or your business. The absolute essentials of a brand are the logo, visual design, mission and tone of voice.

Good branding should do three things:

    • Create a distinct identity that separates itself from competitors

    • Influence consumer’s feelings and associations surrounding the brand

    • Make it easier for consumers to remember and ultimately build trust

  • Yes! This is one of my top priorities because research shows that more than 50% of users will be accessing your website from their mobile device. This means that I will be bouncing between both your desktop and mobile version equally to ensure a seamless user-experience for both.

  • I used a few website hosts before moving my own website over to Squarespace and truly, I’ve found so many reasons to love it.

I can create really beautiful and functional websites that I can hand over to my clients and help them feel comfortable making moderate edits, creating blogs, etc. without much stress.

    Squarespace is great for:

    • Ease of use means that you won’t need to hire out support whenever you need something updated on your site

    • Sites are responsive and mobile-friendly

    • E-commerce functionality, social media integration, email marketing capabilities, and SEO tools available for all users

    • Squarespace offers 24/7 customer support, and the platform is known for its reliability and uptime

    • Great value - subscriptions start at $16/month.

  • This typically takes at least 6 months and can vary depending on many factors such as the competition, the niche, the quality of the website, and the optimization efforts put in place.

Now that nearly every website builder prioritizes SEO it’s really hard to predict when exactly your site can/will reach the first page of Google.

  • For larger projects, I require 50% of your invoice at the beginning of the project and the remaining balance due at project completion.

If you are wanting to set up an alternative payment schedule, please contact me directly.

  • Depending on your needs, I typically charge $65/hour for training. If you are wanting to outsource your social media or hire me to create content, those rates range between $45-65/hour.
