Schwartz Family + Maternity Session
First of all, Ashlee + Brandon are one of the most photogenic couples I get to shoot and I love that they’re always willing to give me their vision for their session and then trust me to carry it out. I’ve been able to do their family photos, the real-estate photos when it came time to sell their first home, and the best yet? I was able to capture the birth of their second daughter (click here if you wanna see photos of little Landree’s birth day).
We captured their family photos last year and incorporated the CUTEST little denim jackets that Ashlee found from Ingrid and Isabel’s Mama + Babe collection. Lily, Landree’s big sister, is not too keen of the camera. She’s very aware of wherever I am and what I’m doing with that weird thing and probably wonders why we’re all just standing around outside or why I’m making her parents walk slowly towards me or laugh obnoxiously. Lily makes me want to try and win her over every. time. (still working on it though!) and she makes me WORK for the slightest smile. She’s a tough one to crack I tell ya. But guess who can almost always soften her up? Dad. Lily is a daddy’s girl through and through.
This session was really special for the Schwartz family because a few days after, I got a text from Ashlee that their puppy Buddy passed away. He had a heart murmur but lived a long, happy life being part of all the major transitions in Ashlee’s life. I don’t know about you but for me, dogs often gentle impacts in our life aren’t always felt completely until reflecting on all the moments they’ve been around for after they’ve passed away.
So happy we could capture such beautiful fall portraits for one of my most favorite families!
