Elayne Turns One

Little blue-eyed Elayne, with her wispy blonde hair, alllll the way from Colorado, celebrates a birthday later this month and we’re so excited to have squeezed in her photos while they’re visiting the Midwest! As her mama put it, Elayne’s essence is just perfectly autumnal and so it was our lucky day to stumble upon Black Cat Punkin’ Patch with ALL the fall. We brought a few things of our own and had the most perfect spot to document her 1-year milestone!
If you’re in the Roberts, WI area, you’ve got to support this local small business that’s run by a 13-year-old boy! He started the pumpkin patch when he was just 9 years old and has been so successful that at 10, with his first year’s profits, he bought a tractor for the pumpkin field. Now this year, after doing some soil testing, he’s hoping to prep the fields for some funky green and white pumpkins for next year’s season. Not only can you pick up your pumpkins for just $5 (yes, even the big ones!) but he has all sorts of festive Halloween decorations and creative fun for the little ones. Unfortunately, I stopped by while he was at school, so I have yet to meet him but I did chat with his mom and I was so impressed and more than thrilled to support a young entrepreneur.
