Engagement: Nick + Jordan
I’ve never shot at Willow River State Park in Hudson, WI before so when Jordan told me she wanted their engagement session there I was both a little nervous and excited. Shooting in a new location can be challenging but knowing how big of a role this park has been in their relationship meant that it was only fitting their engagement session was here too. They spent time together in the early years of their relationship (hello, high school sweethearts) and they’ve had annual camping trips with their core friend group, even well after everyone’s left for college, graduated and begun their adult lives. They place has been an anchor in their joint lives together.
We met together in early November for a sunrise session. Beginning our chilly morning hiking down to the falls, recreating a photo they took in Germany when Jordan visited Nick while he was studying abroad, and hiking alllll the way back up (definitely out of breath and a little sweaty after that) just to be greeted by some lovely warm sun which gave me some of the most beautiful, warm, and melty photos of the morning. They are SO easy to photograph, they are comfortable together and I don’t know about you but that really shines through in their photos.
