Summer Highlight: Brita
Let me tell ya something pretty crucial when it comes to outdoor shoots. Things don’t always go as planned…
My session with Brita was originally scheduled for a week earlier buuut a July thunderstorm had other plans. Sometimes shooting outside requires both me and my clients to be flexible. I mean, we really are at the mercy of the weather most days. Whether it’s a thunderstorm (or snowstorm @minnesota) or extreme temperatures you can only plan so much. Honestly though despite being a little bummed out originally, our rescheduled date for the following week and the sunset was B E A U T I F U L and totally worth it. Not to mention, Brita is a dream to shoot with, a natural if you will.
Brita sent me over some inspiration shots when booking, which I LOVE because it helps me understand where client’s expectations are and I can get a good grasp on their desired look and feel. And plus, if the inspo shots are totally not a style-match with my work, we’re able to address that before a session to make sure that I’m the best photographer fit.
All in all, I left our session absolutely thrilled. Rarely do I leave a client session not thinking “I love this and I love what I do” and I pretty much try and ride that out until my next session. I feel so lucky to be this excited about something.
