Two high-school sweethearts found their way back to one another after decades apart. Shooting together, I was able to witness both the gentle yet playful love they share together straight out of a storybook.

I’ve never shot at Willow River State Park in Hudson, WI before so when Jordan told me she wanted their engagement session there I was both a little nervous and excited. We met together in early November for a sunrise session. This October I did a sweet little in-home session with this Minneapolis family! These boys are FULL of energy but such good sports with having me in their home. And I must say, I had the BEST photographer’s assistant, Felix (5), to help keep mom + dad in line…

Spent a lovely October evening running around the trails of Lake Elmo, MN with the sweetest little almost-one-year-old, Colson, and the most delightful 6 year-old, Kiley.

Little Landree was born bright and early in the morning on January 18, 2019 at Lakeview Hospital. This birth was special for me because it was my first cesarean that I was part of. I’m a big birth + baby person and being able to preserve some of those first moments earth-side is one of my favorite roles.

Let me tell ya something pretty crucial when it comes to outdoor shoots. Things don’t always go as planned… My session with Brita was originally scheduled for a week earlier buuut
